It's no secret that anyone can build an app in 2026. But as an ex software engineer, let me give you some tips so A, you can build an app faster and B, build a good quality app and not just waste tokens on something you won't use. My favorite tool for building for is Claude Code. I use it inside Cursor. But if you don't know what that is, you can use Claude Code inside the browser. First, plan the app. What features do you want? What do you want it to look like? Then let AI help you define the ground rules, the main UI, database structure, core features, and so on. At this point, I really recommend not overcomplicating it. The fewer features you have at the beginning, the easier it will be.
