How to build a one person company using Claude cowork nobody talks about this but you can set up 3 files in Claude Cowork that make it work as an employee and run your company. Claude always gives you generic output because it has no idea who you are. Create a folder called Claude Cowork on your computer with 3 subfolders. About Me, Outputs, and Templates. Then you build 3 files in the About Me folder. The first one is called about-me.md. Instead of trying to write it yourself, you actually let Cowork interview you. You paste in this prompt that tells you to ask about what you do, who you work with, what great work looks like to you and what you hate. In order to do this, I use a voice dictation tool like Whisper Flow because I found out that saying my words out loud makes me more honest. The second file is called anti-ai-writing-style.md. This is basically a list of things that Claude is never allowed to do when it writes for you. Banned words, banned sentence patterns, paragraph length limits. You can add on more to this over time. The third file is called my-company.md. This covers your business goals, strategies and what you're focused on this quarter. Stop writing these long and complicated prompts to understand what you want. The only prompt that you ever need is in this format. I want to [whatever the task] so that [what success looks like]. Read my about me folder first, then use Ask User Question to clarify before you start. Instead of Claude just guessing what you meant when your prompt is vague. It actually stops and generates with options that you can tap through in 60 seconds. The whole thing feels like you are briefing a smart employee who asks the right questions before they start working instead of guessing. Now you set up 3 scheduled sections that run your work day without you doing anything. At 7 AM when you wake up, Claude has already went through your emails and sorted everything by urgency, drafted responses for routine messages, pulled your calendar for the day and written prep notes for every single meeting. At noon you brief Cowork on whatever task you want to handle that afternoon and executes them while you work on handling the clients and the meetings. At 5 PM Cowork reviews everything that happened, what got handled, what is still pending, and what carries over to tomorrow. This end of the day document becomes a context for tomorrow morning's briefing so it runs as a continuous loop. I created step by step guide with exact prompts in order to build this out. If you want it, just like the video and comment goal and I'll send it to you. Follow for more ways to make money and run your business with tech and AI.
