OpenAI just released their biggest update ever to ChatGPT. They've just released ChatGPT Work and the way to think about this is the old model would tell you how to do the work, the new model will actually do the work for you. So we've had access to this for the past few days. Here's how it all works and the four things you need to set up to get the most out of it. So we just open ChatGPT as normal and then you'll notice this new section called Work. It then opens up this nice home screen where it explains exactly what it can do, some simple tasks you can start with, how to customise it to improve the actual output. It'll even suggest some tasks based on your recent conversations and you'll see you have access to agents and sub agents that will actually complete the tasks for you. The second thing you need to set up is Plugins. This just means you connect the tools that you actually use so ChatGPT can access them and complete real tasks and there's thousands available and they're so simple to connect. The third thing you need to set up is Skills. If you've used Claude before you'll be well used to Skills, but if not, they're basically reusable workflows to tell ChatGPT exactly how you want a repeatable task to be completed. Upload existing skills or you can create new ones with chat. Literally just explain what you want chat to do. It'll ask some questions and then it'll build the skill file for you. The fourth thing to set up is learn my writing style. Chat will literally go through your past conversations. If you've connected Gmail, it will search through your emails as well and it'll literally build you out a full written style document. And the cool thing about this is it builds out the voice and tone across different platforms. Example, email or video content or maybe you have different style across your work emails and personal. It'll match those both exactly. The fourth and final thing to do is to start scheduling your repeatable tasks. Remember, you're not going to just get a wall of text back. It can actually complete tasks. It can update reports and documents. It can research across the web, it can build you presentations, anything you need.
