DON'T USE CLAUDE CODE UNTIL YOU WATCH THIS

Don't use Claude Code until you watch this. This is something I wish someone told me from the very beginning. That is the file structure of how Claude Code works. This is part 7 of things I wish I knew about Claude Code as a beginner. So before you even touch anything like skills, rules, commands, agent, you need to understand the entire picture of how it works. Otherwise, you'll be repeating yourself and things won't work the way you expect it to. So for example, on your Mac or computer, there is one file that is a global file called Claude and under that there is Claude.md. So that every time you start a new session in Claude Code, it's gonna read this folder first. It is your global brain that applies across all your different folders. Inside of Claude.md is about who you are, your tone rules, all the things about your business and what you want it to do. But keep in mind this applies to all the different files that you have under it. Now, if you have one business, then you would just have the one folder. So in my case, desktop slash Brand_Nat is a folder. So in my desktop, it looks like this. Now if you have two businesses that are totally not related, so say for example I have a construction business, then that would be a separate folder. And the main reason for that is that inside your Claude folder underneath this folder underneath this is different commands, rules, agents, and skills that you're going to have that will be completely different to another business. Because in the Brand_Nat business, it's about content creation, sponsorship, which would have nothing to do with the other business. This is why it would be separate. I also have commands on what I want it to do. So every morning it gives me the AI news and all I need to do is go forward slash AI news and it will spit that out for me. A mistake that I did initially was that I made a separate folder for each one of these things that I wanted it to do. So every time I created a new folder under say AI news, it would have no context of whatever I spoke to it about and that was super frustrating.
