One of the first things I look at when I review a therapist’s website is the very first sentence. Because that sentence has one job: Help the right person recognize the transformation you can create for them. I can’t tell you how often I see something like: “Safe, compassionate therapy for healing.” Is that true? Probably. Is it enough for someone to think, “She’s the therapist for me”? Usually not. Instead, imagine opening your website with something like: “Take your life back from OCD” “Feel as successful as you look on paper.” “From broke & burnt out to busy counting the zeros in your bank account.” Now someone isn’t just learning about your practice. They’re seeing themselves in it. They’re hearing what’s possible on the other side of this work. Your website shouldn’t just describe your values. It should help your ideal client say, “Wow, that’s me. That’s something I want. I need to work with them.” If you know your marketing isn’t having this effect, the marketing for mental health mentorship was built for you.
