I used this one job search strategy to get me from being laid off to securing a job a week later 1) Create a spreadsheet to track your job apps 2) Make a tab specifically for your boolean strings. 3) I applied to roles posted on two job boards that'd take not even two minutes to apply to. Greenhouse and Lever. Make a Greenhouse account and upload your resume before moving on. You'll see why in a minute. 4) Copy the boolean string. 5) Paste 6) Double click on the role, open link in new tab. I open up a few tabs. 7) Add the job you applied to your job tracker. This is optional. I always track everything because sometimes the job description and details are taken off the site but at least I have some info just in case I get an interview. GOOD LUCK! I'm going to show you step by step what I did to search for these roles. It's not going to be using LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, none of that. This is a strategy I used as a former tech sourcer at DoorDash when I was sourcing engineers. Save this video, look back at it later. Let me know if you want me to make a boolean string for you and I'm happy to do that for you. It'll also be good for you to practice it yourself. You're checking your available balances. 12 million, 600,000, 17,000, 200, 17,000. I created different versions. I applied to roles posted on two job boards that'd take not even two minutes to apply to. Greenhouse and Lever. Make a Greenhouse account and upload your resume before moving on. You'll see why in a minute. Boolean strings are like describing the ingredients to someone who wants to make your fave recipe. I'm telling the internet to show me specific roles in two job boards, Greenhouse and Lever. In specific roles, I don't want internships and I only want to see roles posted after a specific date. Copy the boolean string. Paste. Double click on the role, open link in new tab. I open up a few tabs. This job is on Greenhouse, the job board. If you already were signed into your Greenhouse account, all you'd need to do is hit quick apply and check off a couple boxes. Shouldn't take more than two minutes! At least. Add the job you applied to your job tracker. This is optional. I always track everything because sometimes the job description and details are taken off the site but at least I have some info just in case I get an interview. GOOD LUCK!
