Using plastic cadaver bags for deceased patients negatively impacts our mental health as vet pros. It minimizes just how important they were to us before their loss, and it isn’t a true reflection of that quality and compassionate medicine we offered while they were alive. To prove this, we performed a case study at an animal ER that examined the mental health impacts of the body care process. ✍️ The ER we worked with was used to using plastic cadaver bags for all deceased patients. For this study, we provided them with a 30-day supply of Euthabags to be used for all deceased patients, and asked for their feedback at the end of the 30-day period. 🤔 The results were unanimous. The vet pros always knew they disliked the process of placing their deceased patients in plastic cadaver bags, but they had no idea how much it impacted them. When using our dignified pet body bags instead, they all noted feeling lighter, more respectful, and more at peace with the body care process. Euthabags felt more in line with the compassionate medicine they offer. Dignified pet body bags support the mental health of vet pros. 🫶 Euthabag is a respectful pet body bag (for cremation or burial) that allows you to place your patients in a dignified position on their side, falling more in line with human medicine. The average cost of a Euthabag is $10 to $12, and we performed a survey with just under 2000 pet parents that showed that over 80% of them would be willing to pay for a Euthabag when they learned the alternative was a plastic bag. Pet parents want a say in their pet’s body care, and we deserve a tool that doesn’t hurt our hearts to use. 💜 We’re so passionate about the difference our respectful pet body bags make that we’ll also send free samples directly to your clinic. All you need to do is fill out the sample request form at the link in our bio, and if your clinic agrees to use them moving forward, you can be rewarded up to $500! Everyone wins. 💜 #vetmed #vetmedlife #vetmedicine #petloss #petlosssupport
