🌿🙏🏾 SACRED RITES AT THE LA KPA SHRINE 🙏🏾🌿 On Wednesday, 29th July, 2026, a sacred rite was observed at the La Kpa We (La Kpa Shrine). Although the Homowo Festival will not be celebrated this year, one of the annual key rites—the slaughtering of a cow for the La Kpa Deity—was still performed in a unique and scaled-down manner in accordance with tradition. This year’s observance was intentionally limited in attendance, with only the La Wulomei, Woyei, Wohii, Agbafoiatse, Agbafoi, Amrakui, the La Mankralo, and an entourage from Otwebedidua—a Ga community in the Eastern Region—which included their Queen Mothers, participating in the sacred ceremony. As part of the day’s activities, La Dadekotopon TV spoke with the Manye (Queen Mother) of Suhum-Otwebedidua and her Oblayei Manye following the sacred rites. They shared why they travelled from Otwebedidua to La to witness this important traditional observance and also spoke about the longstanding relationship between their community and the people of La. The interview further explored aspects of their town, culture, and traditional leadership. Despite its modest nature, the rite remains an important spiritual tradition, reflecting the enduring commitment to preserving the customs and heritage of the people of La. 🎥 Join La Dadekotopon TV as we continue documenting and preserving these significant cultural and traditional rites for future generations. #LaDadekotoponTV #LaKpaShrine #Homowo2026 #PromotingLa #WeSetThePace@Getyjobs
