Come check out the wonderful FREE Disney exhibitions on display at the Hilbert Museum just a short 10 minute drive from Disneyland. This is a great addition for anyone who is in town during D23 next week. Pop over for this FREE offering. Right now they have an exhibition of more than 50 original drawings and storyboards from Danish-born Jorgen Klubien contributed character animation to classics such as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Mulan, A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc, Toy Story 2, and Cars (for which he also wrote the original story and screenplay). Plus, they have multiple concept paintings from Mary Blair on display right now including artwork from "it's a small world", Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan. The Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University, in Orange, Calif., was founded in 2016 by art collectors and philanthropists Mark and Janet Hilbert with their gift of artwork and funds to open a new museum, and is home to one of the world’s largest collections of California narrative art.
