Okay. Here are some things that you should not say to a trans person. Coming from a trans boy myself. Okay. Number one: Never ask for a trans person's dead name. If you are unfamiliar with the term dead name, that means the name that they no longer go by anymore. Asking for a trans person's dead name is bad because it can make them feel uncomfortable and it's just disrespectful. Okay. Okay, number two. Don't tell someone it's obvious they're trans. It is quite ignorant to say because trans people already go through a lot of dysmorphia that that puts basically on their plate. But, note, you shouldn't tell a trans person that they pass well or it's not obvious they're trans either. At first it may seem like a nice compliment, but from a trans person's POV, it waters them down to just being trans. It tends to disregard them to who they actually are and who they identify as and it just labels them down to being a "trans person".
