Stickers & Mulch I needed kiln stickers for my wood drying kiln. So I went back to a stack of lumber I had milled a few years ago and gave those old boards a new purpose. From rough-edged boards back on the Norwood sawmill, to long strips, through my old 20" planer, and finally into uniform kiln stickers ready for the next load of lumber. But the story doesn’t end there. The bark edges and unusable offcuts still had value. Back at the sawmill, they went through the shredder and became mulch. One pile of lumber. Two useful outcomes.
