7 Brew NeeDoh

Why it worked

The video leverages a 'POV' format and a sense of scarcity around a limited-edition branded item, turning a mundane drive-thru experience into an engaging product showcase.

Summary

The creator documents their experience waiting in a long drive-thru line at 7 Brew Coffee to purchase a limited-edition branded fidget toy called the NeeDoh. After receiving the toy and a drink, they provide a positive review of the beverage and demonstrate the toy's features.

Structure

1Creator complains about a long drive-thru line at 7 Brew
2Creator orders a Black Mamba 7 Energy drink
3Creator receives the drink and the 7 Brew NeeDoh toy
4Creator reviews the drink and demonstrates the fidget toy

Product placement

(a) 7 Brew Coffee: The brand operates the drive-thru service, takes the order, and provides the drink. Removing it would change the entire video. (b) NeeDoh: A fidget toy brand that appears as the product being purchased and reviewed. Removing it would change the video's premise.

Transcript

There's no way the line wraps all the way around like 10 times at 6:00 a.m. all for their 7 Brew NeeDoh. Alright, can I get a Black Mamba 7 Energy? Can we make it sugar-free? Of course. After about 25 minutes, we are here at the front of the line. Thank you. After 20 minutes of waiting, I got the Black Mamba Energy and a BrewDoh. There's like little drinks inside of it, little cups. It's pretty cool. Hold on, let me take another sip. Oh yeah, that hit. You can taste the blackberry taste, taste a little bit of strawberry, and that Red Bull flavor is not super strong. That is so refreshing. I like it. This drink is worth waiting in line. 8.2 out of 10. I would definitely get this again. Highly recommend.
