Former NFL star Antonio Brown claims to have struck a deal with Florida prosecutors that will help him avoid prison in his attempted murder case, although the exact details of the deal remain unclear. 'They made him an offer he couldn't refuse,' Brown's attorney Mark Eiglarsh said in a press release Wednesday. Brown is due back in Miami-Dade court on Wednesday, September 30, when he is expected to officially accept a plea deal being offered by prosecutors. According to the press release, the deal will help Brown avoid a prison sentence of up to 30 years and will instead result in probation for the Super Bowl winner. The 38-year-old NFL outcast was accused of firing gunshots at a long-time enemy outside of a boxing event on May 16, 2025. He later claimed he was acting in self defense when he left the melee only to return with a hand gun that was ultimately discharged. 'This was not an easy decision,' Eiglarsh said. 'Antonio believes in his innocence. He believes strongly in his Stand Your Ground defense, and he believes he would ultimately prevail at trial. But when prosecutors put an offer on the table that transforms a potential decades-long prison sentence into a significantly reduced charge and probation, there was simply no way he could reasonably turn it down.' Brown’s statement also cites his eight children as his motivation to accept the plea deal. The Daily Mail has sought confirmation and further details from Miami-Dade State Attorneys. #antoniobrown #ab #nfl #nflfootball
