Things we need to stop doing to pregnant women from behind a keyboard: 1. Judging our bodies. I was fit and had a six pack before this pregnancy. This is my third baby. My body knows what it’s doing, and every pregnancy looks different. 2. Judging when we share our news. If waiting 12 weeks felt right for you, I respect that. Sharing earlier felt right for me. I don’t need to hide my excitement. 3. Commenting on how big or small we look. You’re seeing a few seconds of my life. You don’t need to evaluate my body. 4. Telling me your pregnancy horror stories. If you lost a baby or had a frightening ultrasound, I’m truly sorry you went through that. But please don’t tell me about it in response to my pregnancy news unless I ask. I don’t want to carry someone else’s fear every time I share a happy moment. You can scroll past. You can wish someone well. But please think about the person reading your comment before you hit send. 🤍
