DM me the word EU and I'll send you 👇 Germany just dropped Kolibri, a new open-source AI model from Aleph Alpha, and it's fully Apache 2.0. In Aleph Alpha's own benchmarks it beats Qwen3.6 35B, NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Super, and Mistral Small 4 on math, science, and code, in both English and German. It's a 78B model that only uses about 3.5B of its brain per word, so it's cheap to run for how smart it is. It was built and trained in Europe, which is what "sovereign AI" means: a company can download it and run it on its own servers, and nothing leaves the building. Heads up, this is not a laptop model. It needs about 78 GB of memory. Open source is gonna win, dog. Now Europe is in it too.
