She is one of the most iconic voices in Lebanon and the Arab world. Born Nouhad Haddad in Beirut, Fayrouz grew from a young school singer into a symbol of Lebanese music, culture, nostalgia, and home. Her work with Assi and Mansour Rahbani helped shape generations of Lebanese music, and her voice is still closely tied to mornings, family memories, and Lebanon itself. This is the first post in our Lebanon & History series, where we share the people, places, and stories that shaped Lebanese culture. Which Fayrouz song reminds you most of Lebanon? ⚠️ Fayrouz, Fairuz, and Fairouz are all accepted English spellings of the name. 📚 For online Arabic lessons DM us. #Fairouz #فيروز #Lebanon #Lebanese #LebaneseCulture
