One of a kind pieces from this once-a-year firing 🔥 Located across from the Old Sturbridge Village pottery shop, this large, reproduction brick “updraft bottle” kiln is used once a year for firing pottery. On October 2 and 3, our potters and a team of volunteers manned the kiln around the clock to fire nearly 1,000 handmade redware items at 1,900 degrees. Many of the pieces fired in the kiln will be available for purchase at a later date. #History #Pottery #NewEngland #Fall #FYP
