Our First Hurricane 🌀Isaias🌀 WELL, I GUESS IT WAS ABOUT TIME. WE'VE LIVED HERE ABOUT FOUR YEARS. AND THIS IS GONNA BE OUR FIRST HURRICANE. I'M READING NOW THAT IT IS FOR SURE TWO, POSSIBLY A THREE BY THE TIME IT HITS OUR AREA. BUT IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME, YOU KNOW THAT I'M NOT ORIGINALLY FROM HERE. I CAN HANDLE A SNOWSTORM, TORNADO, WHATEVER AS LONG AS I HAVE A BASEMENT. BUT A HURRICANE? IT DID A CATEGORY 2 TO, AS OF RIGHT NOW, DOESN'T REALLY GIVE ME THE WARM FEELS. OUR HOUSE IS GOLD FORTIFIED. BUT THESE ARE CALLED HURRICANE FABRIC. AND I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS, BECAUSE BEFORE EVER LIVING HERE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN THIS EXISTED. GOLD FORTIFIED MEANS YOUR HOME CAN WITHSTAND REALLY HIGH WINDS. AND HURRICANE FABRIC ESSENTIALLY JUST, LIKE, KEEPS DEBRIS FROM COMING IN YOUR HOUSE. THE WINDOW CAN STILL BREAK, BUT IT PROTECTS YOU A LITTLE. MY LOCAL FRIENDS AREN'T PANICKING, WHICH IS A GOOD SIGN, BUT WE ARE DEFINITELY GETTING PREPARED.

But if you know anything about me, you know that I'm not originally from here. I can handle a snowstorm, tornado, whatever as long as I have a basement. But a hurricane? It did a category 2 to, as of right now, doesn't really give me the warm feels. Our house is Gold Fortified, but these are called Hurricane Fabric.
