Why did we stop making beautiful things? The carved details. The rich colours. The care given to something as simple as a child’s rocking horse. There’s something about old-world craftsmanship that still makes us stop and stare. Modern design has brought us comfort and convenience, but surely there’s still room for a little wonder.
