HOW to treat OILY skin 👇🏻 usually the biggest mistake we make when try to get rid of oily skin is over-drying it (in any possible way) so! what we need to do instead? • use a gentle cleanser in the morning. avoid harsh cleansers that strip your skin • DO NOT skip moisturizer! just find a lightweight, non comedogenic option (gel moisturizers are the best) that works for your skin • choose lightweight, non- comedogenic products that won't feel heavy or clog your pores • try azelaic acid. it can help control excess sebum production and can also help with acne and redness • use a BHA cleanser 1-2 times a week (but only if your skin tolerates it). it helps remove excess oil and dead skin cells • look for oil-free skincare products, don't overload your oily skin with more oils • hyaluronic acid or beta-glucan! your skin needs hydration even more than you think • incorporate low % niacinamide in your routine. another one good active to deal with excess oil production, BUT introduce it slowly and be careful with your skin! • don’t try to dry out your skin. once you start hydrating your skin it will NEVER overproduce sebum • and don't forget SPF every morning. look for a lightweight/airy non-comedogenic formula subscribe & check my “oily skin” playlist for more! #oilyskin #oilyskintips #clearskin #skincaretips #skincareroutine
