We are fully aware of how high the stakes are in our space. We created Stardust because we were fed up and, frankly, a bit grossed out by cycle trackers that treat women like walking reproductive functions. We weren’t interested in the male-founded (and funded) apps that obsess over ovulation while ignoring the full spectrum of our lived experiences. We wanted a better way to understand the cycles that drive our lives — so we built it ourselves. When we first started on the app, we were two people working out of a living room. When Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, we realized that we urgently needed to create an encryption method that would protect users. And now with the results of the election, our commitment to never compromise on keeping our users safe remains stronger than ever. We’re dedicated to ensuring privacy, security, and trust in everything we do. We keep your data safe by storing your contact information with third parties and storing your health data against a random account ID. This means that we do not link your health data to your real-world identity. Our privacy policy is published in full on our website.
