Have you ever heard the saying that too many cooks spoil the broth? Well, in construction, isn't that the problem? Not too many cooks. It's that everyone is cooking in a different kitchen. So I'm an architect by profession, but I also hold a masters in project management. But one of the things that drove me crazy in this industry is fragmentation. By the way, that's not to say I'm an expert. I can see things, I'm noticing certain patterns. I'll just share three critical data points that we have noticed ourselves. The industry operates in what we call data silos. Picture this. So I'm an architect, I'm designing on very expensive software. Engineers are calculating in another expensive software. Some contractors or project managers are using WhatsApp and Excel to track progress and financial institutions are using their own proprietary systems. It's no wonder sometimes you feel like you're in the dark and everyone is wondering what's happening on site. Secondly, there's a massive trust gap. Institutions actually reject almost 61% of all projects of verification, creating a huge deficit of the financing. This isn't just my frustration, by the way. There's 75% of all projects are delayed by a year, and 25% of them have cost overruns, if not more. But I think what's crazy is that I think we've normalized it. It's okay to be delayed. So we decided to like tackle this monster. So the architects, engineers, they may be working together, but you forget everyone on site. What's going on with your project managers? Your sales team with people on site. There's a whole group of people that the executioners to bring this vision to light. There's no software around that. So we took this holistic approach and decided to break it down into four modules.
