this is sai from india. when he was 11, he started earning more than his teachers. sai grew up in kerala, india, where his family had one simple rule: mandatory reading hours. no phones, no distractions, no games —just books. at 11, he did what most kids are too scared to do: he started cold-emailing companies, saying he'd work for half their usual rate: and it worked. in 1 year, was earning more than his dad from international companies, not because he was a genius, but because he wasn't afraid to try and fail. college was rough but a mandatory part of being an asian kid. he lacked people who thought like him, and he made the wrong major choice of pursuing electric engineering he felt completely lost, because he was built for computer science. then covid hit. things got worse, and like millions of us, sai spent months scrolling social media, feeling stuck. but, he realized the only way to build his self-esteem back was through doing hard things that he liked. challenges that pushed him. so he fully applied himself in coding competitions, started nerding out on research papers and then started his company matrixbridge, an ai company last year. the problem was simple, he wanted to enable companies to automate boring and repetitive tasks like punching numbers in excel sheets and menial research. he went through the residency in bangalore, and by the end of three months, he had raised $250,000 from jeff dean, one of the most prominent names in ai, off of a cold email (the investor didn’t even get on a call with him.) now, he is on his journey of building the best browser agent in the world. and he isn’t stopping. the secret? he didn't try to be perfect—he just didn't quit when things got hard. give ananda sai a follow to follow his journey shoutout to @_thelocalhost for funding this episode series this summer! ✅
