⚠️ Registered Capital in China Isn’t “Just a Number” Many people think registered capital in China is just something you write on paper… but that mistake can cost you later. Registered capital is the amount you officially commit to invest into your company. It’s not a tax and not a fee — it’s your company’s financial responsibility. Here’s what changed: 📌 Before 2014: You had to inject the full amount before your company could be registered. 📌 March 1, 2014: China made it flexible — you could register without paying immediately. 📌 July 1, 2020: New rule introduced — you must pay the registered capital within 5 years after registration. ✅ You can still register your company without showing the money upfront… but you must choose a realistic amount you can actually inject within 5 years.
