This could be a very hot take but turning off your Shopify notifications just makes your day-to-day life so much better. Especially if you're at low sales, you're gonna get like one to five a day and you literally wait all day just for that notification and you're on edge about it. That is not a good thing. You're like anxious. It ruins your workflow. You rely on that dopamine because you're doing work, you're doing something, and you need to get hit with the sale notification. And you're like, oh my god, like I just got a sale. Yes, it's good at the start but it just fucks your dopamine. Ever since I turned it off near Q4 and stuff, because I just don't want to see notifications. I just check it at the end of the day, the reports, admin, it's crazy because this is what I've been working for. It's a good problem to have. But I don't want to see notifications go off all the time. And I don't want to get the notification then look at my phone and be like, oh my god, I got a sale. Even if I get a lot of sales, bro, it's just, I'm gonna be focusing on the wrong things. Like waiting for that next sale. Like, oh, I haven't got a sale in the next hour. Like, is something wrong? That's how I was, bro. Not healthy for me. When I was at the gym, couldn't focus until I got sales over and over, very, very bad. Ever since I turned it off, I can't turn it on. I don't want to turn it on. Maybe for like Black Friday or some special event, but I don't know. That's just my opinion.
