I went from this to this. My desktop used to look like a Tetris board and it was all because of one thing: screenshots. I used to have hundreds of files with the most random names on my desktop and there were important things among them, things that I would never find again. It felt like too small an issue to fix until I finally got tired and I decided today is the day that I'm gonna fix this. But it wasn't by sitting down and sorting through all of it, no. I actually built an app called Sorted, an AI screenshot organizer. Every time I take a screenshot, my program analyzes the image, names it correctly and stores it in the right place, whether those screenshots are emails, code snippets, ideas, text, whatever. Because the program is running locally on my Razer blade laptop which has an NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPU, it's fast enough to happen instantly right when I take the screenshot. You don't need a big crazy AI server, this is running offline on the laptop. If you have a laptop with an RTX GPU, you can build things like these and run AI tools locally without any problems. It wasn't a big program to build, but it makes me feel like I have my life together. Is there something you want to automate with AI? If so, what should we build next?
