Gaming chairs are a waste of money. I just bought a chair from Secretlab and my back has never felt better. Your back feels better because you finally stopped sitting on a folding chair from 2009, Rigby. That's not true. Gaming chairs are designed for long sessions. They have lumbar support and neck pillows. Those neck pillows are literally just decorative. Every ergonomics expert says the headrest on gaming chairs pushes your neck forward and causes more strain over time. Okay, but the lumbar pillow is good. I use it every single day. A real office chair has lumbar support built into the back rest that adjust to your spine. The gaming chair gives you a foam pillow tied on with an elastic band. So I should just buy an office chair? Those look boring. A used Herman Miller or Secret Lab Titan costs the same. Except that Herman Miller was engineered by actual ergonomic scientists, has adjustable arm rests, seat depth, lumbar curve and will last 15 years. The gaming chair uses bucket seat design from racing cars, which are meant for 20 minute drives, not 8-hour gaming sessions.
