Should I close TikTok after I post? Does it help with your engagement? Does it help with growth? If you have under 10,000 followers and your goal is to hit 10,000 followers as fast as possible, this is exactly what you need to be doing after you post. I had one client go from 300 followers to over 75,000 followers in one month. This is the number one thing that I tell all of my clients, and that client was not the only one who grew. I've helped hundreds of others. Need extra help? Go book a social media audit or a one-on-one with me in my bio. I'm going to need creators to stop stressing that if they close the app immediately after they post, their content will plummet. The platform does not punish you. You doom scrolling for 10 minutes doing absolutely nothing after posting your video just to get more engagement is not the reason why your content underperforms. It's what happens around the content after it's posted. If growth and engagement are the goal, here's exactly what you need to do. Stay active with intention, not mindless scroll. After you're posting a video, go to someone of your similar niche space and comment on their video. Don't comment on creators who have millions and millions of followers and already a reputable following. Comment on someone who has good engagement, good comment section, but you know that your comment actually has a chance at being seen. Goal is to connect with this creator and hopefully have their ideal target audience, who would be your ideal target audience, see your comment, go to your profile, and convert to a follower. This is a social platform, so you do have to treat it socially. People are more inclined to actually connect with you if you're connecting with them. This is a sneaky little hack that works every single time. I have top comments on my videos that have hundreds of thousands of likes. Those creators have gained followers and my followers based on the content that they also produced. Keep in mind that your content has to be good. It has to have solid hooks. It can't be a one-hit-wonder viral video. You have to have a brand identity. You have to have verbal and content structure, and that's exactly what we go over in my one-on-one call as well as my new three-month growth program that you absolutely need to be a part of. Enough is enough. Let's actually structure you out.
