Okay, I want to do a quick video. 5 things that have changed in Somaliland since I was last there in 2023, that I was super impressed by. Number one, I think the previous mayor, Mayor Moge, he did such an amazing job on the roads. The roads have been fixed. I would say a majority of the roads now are smooth compared to 2020, my first time in Somaliland, which is such a remarkable job. Number two, they fixed the airport and they definitely elevated it. The VIP room when you come off the plane, you get to go into the VIP. You know, you know. If you've been on that list, you know. The VIP is so nice now, like it's really spacious. They have beautiful chandeliers. It's just really elegant and you feel really special actually, like a VIP experience when you come to the plane. Okay, number three, Masala Hargeisa is on the up. Okay, Masala Hargeisa. It used to really be all about Jigjiga, Jigjiga, Jigjiga in town, everywhere when I was there in 2020, but now I realize that Masala Hargeisa is a lot more movement there. A lot of people have built houses there. Also, what I noticed is there's a lot more cafes, a lot more places where, you know, people go, especially like the younger crowd, go to hang out, ride the tuk-tuk. Also, people that are local as well, come together to go have a little coffee, bite to eat. There's so many fun spots to hang out. Four, there's more activities to do now. Shout out to Masala Zone, they opened bowling and I don't know if I put it on my bowling blog yet, but that was amazing. I did it on my last night in Hargeisa. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. I will tag them below. And number five, I will definitely say Somaliland is positioning itself as a global, and it might take time, but it's positioning itself as a global tourism hub. I'm starting to see a lot more non-Somalis come to Somaliland to visit for whatever the reason might be, whether it's for leisure or if it's just for work, business. But I can see, and I don't know if it's part of Somaliland's Vision 2030, I can see Somaliland becoming a really like a tourist destination. By 2040, I think it will be the norm just to go there. Just for a little holiday, to see the culture, the nature, the arts, the people, the food, the vibes. And yeah, those are my top five things that have changed in Somaliland since I was last there. Hope you liked this video.
