Every two years, Indigenous peoples from across Alaska, the United States, Canada, and even as far away as New Zealand gather in Juneau for Celebration. It’s a time to honor our ancestors, reconnect with relatives, share songs, dances, languages, art, and traditions, and celebrate cultures that have endured for thousands of years. From cedar hats and woven regalia to copper jewelry and clan crests, every piece carries a story. Celebration reminds us that Indigenous cultures are not relics of the past—they are living, thriving, and being carried forward by the next generation. #indigenous #akchev #celebration #alaskanative #juneau
