And you probably don't even notice. By default it agrees with you, flatters you and buries the hard truth. Here's the one prompt that fixes it. First open Claude menu in the bottom left, click settings. Go to general. Scroll down to instructions for Claude. Prompt in. Prompt: 1. Never start with agreement. Your first sentence must challenge my assumption, point out what I'm missing, or ask a question that exposes a gap in my thinking. 2. Rate your confidence.
