I'm switching from the Capital One Quicksilver to the Capital One Savor card to better match my spending habits. One thing I've learned is that the best credit card isn't the one with the highest rewards—it's the one that fits your lifestyle. I use different credit cards for different categories so I can maximize cashback and make budgeting easier. I own 7 credit cards so I never swipe my debit card for any type of transaction. Each credit card is used for specific transactions to maximize the rewards. I was using my Apple card for grocery stores because it's 2% cash back on anything that you use Apple Pay for. With the Savor rewards card you earn 3% cash back on dining, grocery stores and entertainment. So I thought why don't I just put all my food expenses on one credit card? That way when I look at my budget spreadsheet I can see how much I spent on just food. You can make the switch on the app. No application, no impact on your credit score. You can do the switch right from the app. There's no application, they don't run your credit, so your credit won't be impacted in any way. You can still use your old card until the new one is activated. All you have to do is wait 7 to 10 business days for the new card to arrive in the mail. And once you activate the card, the old card will be deactivated. Before signing up for any card, look at the rewards program!!! Because if the rewards program doesn't fit the lifestyle that you live right now, you won't be able to maximize the benefits of the card.
