my first flight i didn't sleep. couldn't. there was too much to see, too much to understand. i had my nose on the window and my hand up every time a flight attendant walked past. not because i was scared, i just needed to know how everything worked up here. how does the air get in. what's that sound when the flaps move. why does the horizon look like that. i was genuinely fascinated by the whole mechanical miracle of it. a flying machine. and i was inside it. my dog lex pressed his face to the window and went quiet for the entire flight. not scared quiet. curious quiet. the kind of quiet that means every sense is working at full capacity and there's no room left for anything else. a whole new world at 30,000 feet - new smells, new sounds, new pressure in his ears, clouds at eye level. he couldn't ask his questions out loud. but i saw them in his eyes. the same ones i had. pure, unfiltered wonder at how any of this is even possible. you'll forget many things. not your first time in the sky. not his 🐾 stay pawsome 🐾 #lexthepoodle #traveldog #PetsOfTikTok
