So computer science, computer engineering or even software engineering, right? These are three stages of opportunities you must never miss in your education and tech journey. Number one, you are just finished secondary school and then you are waiting for admission to come. Before the admission eventually comes, get a laptop. It must not be something very big. An 8 gigabyte laptop is even enough for you to start practicing, download the software you need and start learning how to build real applications. Number two, when you have gotten admission, let's say your course is four to five years of study, right? Start learning how to break things, start learning how to build real systems, learn from the failures of those systems. And that's how you can start getting real experience. Build simple and stupid projects, anything complex, but I promise you that between four to five years of your time in school, when you finish, you must have developed real experience that can even take you to a medium level developer. Number three, you have just graduated from school and you're doing your NYSC. If you don't have a laptop, you can save up between two to three months, buy a laptop and learn. And then you still have up to four to six months to go. Start learning and acquiring the knowledge that you need. Now, if you miss any of these three stages, life is going to be two times harder for you because you'll be competing against people who have passed through all three stages I've listed here. So what you can do at that stage is to volunteer for internship, learn from people with more experience, to give you immediate pay.
