There's truly nothing more humbling than having wide feet and expensive taste. So welcome back to heels on the ground journalism, where I'm on a mission to find designer heels that actually work for us wide feet girlies. Last time I was at Louboutin, they basically told me nothing in the store would fit my wide feet. So naturally, I'm back cause that's how determined I am. You guys keep telling me to try the Miss Z collection and last week, I tried on the only pair they had in my size, and somehow they worked, which was honestly shocking because comfortable and Louboutin are not two words I thought I'd ever use together. So, of course, I got excited and ordered two more pairs. The Miss Z pump was actually the one I wanted most. It's a classic pump, 60 millimeter heel. Perfect day to night shoe. But the second I put it on, I knew it wasn't happening. My toes were crammed, my bunions were saying hello, and it just was not comfortable. Next was this closed toe sling back. And honestly, this one was so close. The width actually worked, and I didn't feel like I had to squeeze my foot in. But the sling back strap felt a little loose, and I knew if I sized down, the front would have been too tight. So for me, the fit just wasn't quite right. Which brings us back to the peep toe sling back. And guys, I still love these, even though they're half a size down. My toes weren't squished, the strap felt secure, and because it's open toe, my feet actually had room to breathe. The only thing is, I can feel this piece of leather across the front, and I wish it had a little bit more give. I think it'll soften over time, but even with that, these were just too good to pass up. So after 9 episodes, 11 brands, and way more shoe trauma than I'd like to admit, I think we've officially reached the end of the designer heel search. Honestly, we found some really good options.
