I got called a Satanist for wearing pyramid head out of convention. Now, personally, I'm a more private Christian. The relationship I have with God is personal. So there's no need to force my beliefs on to you, which is why I never do. Because at the end of the day, we'll be judged by the good we've done, not the label we claim. Which is why that Christian woman is completely out of line for harassing me and my friends for wearing this. Pyramid head is a manifestation of a guy's worst nightmares and emotions, which is why it looks so ugly. But he is also a fictional character from a horror game made in the 2000s. Now, as a Christian, it might look pretty jarring, but it's supposed to. But it is no way shape or form demonic in any way. Which is why when that woman was asking me about my cosplay, I tried my best to explain it before I realized she was preaching to me. To which I replied, oh, it's not demonic and I'm a Christian. And before I could calmly walk away, she said under her breath, you're a Christian, not wearing all that. And that made me visibly angry. Not angry because she said I wasn't Christian, but angry because she judged my faith based on my appearance. And because I didn't fit her personal standards, she tried to use the Bible to shame me, to make me feel ashamed under the guise of compassion and concern. And what hurts me the most about this is, she didn't shake my faith, but her bad example of what a true Christian is might have pushed someone further away. And if she did, let me reiterate. It doesn't matter what cosplay you wear as long as it's not demonic. And God will love you. As long as you're not demonic. And thank you for all the people who said that they liked the cosplay.
