Friday was her last allowance as a 5-year-old… and on Saturday she turned 6. 🥲 That means she’s been doing allowance for almost 2 whole years. During that time, we’ve focused on the basics: learning to divide her money as soon as she gets it between spending, saving, and investing. (With charity always being optional.) Nothing fancy. Just building the foundation while keeping it fun enough that she doesn’t resent the budgeting process. Because I’m not trying to raise financially anxious kids either. ❤️ Is it repetitive? Absolutely. 🙂↕️ But that’s how kids learn! If your kids are older, you’ll probably move through these lessons a little faster. But if you’re starting young like we did, slow and steady is more than okay. Those small, consistent lessons add up over time. If you’d like help getting started with allowance, my Allowance Binder walks you through the entire process and helps keep everything organized. ✨Linked in bio✨ #kidsandmoney #allowance #familyfinances #allowancemoney #familybudgeting
