Everything's out in the open, nothing's locked up, and it's up to you to scan your items and pay for it. Everyone knows there's a bunch of cameras in Amazon, they're crystal clear. They're gonna see what you're doing. But a lot of the times, there's no one watching those cameras. So people will still these snacks, and they'll get away with it for a long time. They might scan one thing and pay for it, but still something else, or maybe they just not pay for it at all. They just walk on. But I have seen people get fired for this.
