Transcript
Europe is fucked when it comes to AI. AI is the perfect embodiment of everything people hate at the moment. One, it consumes energy, therefore it's a moral. It destabilizes existing professions, therefore it's cruel. Worse, it is produced by ambitious entrepreneurs, therefore I suspect it originates primarily from the United States, therefore it's imperialistic. And worse of all, it promises abundance, therefore it's excessive, hubristic and Promethean. It checks all those boxes, therefore it's the perfect "decelerationist" Europeans. Never mind all the benefits.
