China just shook the AI industry. And honestly, they deserve it because these guys charge you a fortune just to talk to their AI for 5 to 10 minutes. Then China dropped two free open models just this week alone. One beats Claude Fable 5 and ChatGPT 5.5. The other beats Sora and Kling it video. Both are open source and both are free. The first one is called GLM 5.2 and it just took the number one spot for web design above Fable 5 and above Opus. And it beats ChatGPT 5.5 on real coding tasks and it allows for 1 million tokens of context. And it costs us 1/6 of what the American models charge. Or you could run it locally on your own laptop for free. The second one is Happy Horse. This AI video generation model is sitting at number one on the global leaderboards, beating Sora and Kling. You can feed it up to nine reference images and get pro level ads and short films in 1080p. While OpenAI and Anthropic kept raising the prices, China handed the whole planet two frontier models for free.
