We often wonder why God chose us as the perfect parents to adopt Kingston because we are built so different… then it’s moments like these that bring us clarity. Parenting does not mean that we raise our children to think and be like us, it is raising them to think and be who God designed them to be. God knew that Kingston needed a sprinkle of who dad is and a sprinkle of who mom is to become the perfect recipe to fulfill His purpose. Backstory: Kingston has always been afraid to touch almost any living thing. In his first 6 weeks of life, he went from car seat to stroller, then stroller to car seat. Never held, coddled, or physically touched. Week 6 rolled around when mom and dad adopted him and never put him down. He’s never seen a stroller, play pen, etc. since.
