Micron dumped, Sandis dumped, Intel dumped, Western Digital dumped, memory stocks lost over $200 billion this more and going bearish. But what happened? Samsung basically became the most profitable company on the planet, but the market only wanted them to be estimated by 1.7%. They missed that tiny bar and the stock drop by 7% and that fear spread across the memory sector. But here's what nobody realizes. Micron can actually become more important than Nvidia in the next phase of AI. But why? Interference is what happens every time an AI model answers a question. Training the mouth. Inference is the model actually doing the job. That's where AI companies make money. But inference is mostly a data movement problem. Memory holds the data. Interconnects move it and latency is the tiny delay that happens while the data travels. So what does this mean? A GPU can only work as fast as memory can feed it. So even Nvidia's most powerful chips can spend time waiting instead of computing. That means the next phase of AI will be one by whoever can generate the most s for the least amount of power and money. That's exactly what Cerebras is trying to solve with one giant Wagner that keeps memory and computing closer together and memory shortages are a real problem. Micro is already sold out for the year. New factories won't reach full volume production until 2030. So, memory isn't going anywhere. Micro is here to stay. So keep calm, zoom out. I'm just a dad investing with intention, sharing the research. All for more.
