The way some people ride that Royal Caribbean D so hard will never cease to amaze me. There's things in hindsight, next time I bid, I'm going to make sure to check the room. I've never been in an upgraded room before, so when I got the notification, I don't check the rooms. They're every balcony looks the same to me, every sunset room. The only thing I go and do is maybe look up Sunset Room, Sunset Balcony on Royal Caribbean on YouTube. So that one's on me. From now on, will make sure I check the room on the deck plan. Now let's get into the receipts. This was on May 8th. Congratulations. Your bid was accepted and you have been upgraded. Room 7554 on Rhapsody of the Seas is listed as a Spacious Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony (Category 2B). The room is located midship and features a private verandah and two twin beds that can be converted to a King. Room 7554 on Rhapsody of the Seas is a spacious Ocean View Stateroom with a balcony. I do not see the word sunset balcony in there. So here's the message the lady left me who like I said, she had no interest in resolving this issue and there's been further development. Play the voicemail, but I'll get out of the way as it. Read it yourself. So basically she's saying there's no guest log on the ship, which I went to guest reservation services and they were basically like, oh, we can't help you with this. You're gonna have to call back. And in my mind, I'm getting a lot of heat in the comments for this as well, but in my mind, I'm not even that concerned that I'm not in a sunset balcony. I just figure because it's so evident and obvious I'm not in a sunset balcony. It's not listed as a sunset balcony. I can get a refund for this. I'm international. I don't wanna make a phone call. I also don't wanna spend my vacation trying to be on the phone, getting a hold of an operator, waiting on the phone, talking this thing. Like I just wanna enjoy my vacation and again, I'm thinking that Royal will just smooth this out easy. I didn't realize I had to jump through hoops for a situation that should just be cut and dry. So in my mind, I'm not being a diva. I'm not making a fuss. I'm like, I'm just gonna enjoy my vacation. No need to, like, upend everything. It'll get sorted. So then you can see if you pause it, she says, like, they, um, mentioned that it is really ended in the midship, which still, um, has a sunset back on me. So if you still need further assistance, you can call us back at 1-800-256-6649 and unfortunately, we can't um process any refund for this. Thank you. have a wonderful day. So when I called back, I called back numerous times. I got a hold of another person. And thank god for that, because this person did a lot different stuff. They were like, let me call the ship really quick, okay? Yeah. That the ship just confirmed you were not in a sunset balcony. And if you wouldn't mind sending me, forwarding me the email confirmation that you had. Again, this woman did none of that. None of that. She had no intention of resolving this issue from the minute that she heard the issue, because I explained I have the confirmation. She never asked me to forward anything. So this person forwards it. It was like, we're gonna get in contact with Royal up. Per terms and condition, you are supposed to get a refund. Well, today I get this email. I get this email asking me to do a post cruise corporate guest relations. And they mentioned the name of the woman that I was working with. I told this person that I finally got a hold of yesterday. I told this person that I finally got a hold of yesterday about the situation and that this agent. Oh, what they were saying and what they were doing. And he's like, I'm gonna work with that agent to get this taken care of for you. Then they send me this. I'm guessing this must be an issue with a lot of people. Like I said, this is the only bad experience I've had with Royal. And maybe it's more of an agent customer service than it is with the actual cruise line. I still wanna see the refund. I still wanna see the refund hit my account because it's unacceptable. I didn't bid on a spacious. I bid on a sunset balcony. I don't know why people are basically blaming me for something that should be a quick fix. Okay, like, I don't even care that I didn't get the sunset. Just give me the refund. It shouldn't be that big. You didn't deliver on what you said you were going to deliver, and you charge my credit card. I hope that doesn't happen to anybody else. I don't know why people take the side of the corporation that could potentially also screw you over, but good luck.
