A few years ago we redid our staircase but didn't take longer to realize one big problem. They were so slippery and not ideal for our dog. So I found a solution and that was Oak Valley Designs. The process was so easy. We started by ordering samples because they have so many beautiful patterns. I ended up choosing the Cantaberry in the color sand. Before ordering all you have to do is measure the depth of your stairs and choose between 27, 31, or 35 inches wide. For our stairs I chose the 27 inch option because I still love the wood reveal around the edges. A few days later everything arrived right at our doorstep and I could not wait to get started. I measured the first tread, lined it up, and the installation process was incredibly simple. Just peel the backing off, press it in place and you're done. Even the stair landing was custom made fit to our staircase. Let's just say the finished results are absolutely stunning and now our stairs feel so much safer for our dog and for us too.
