EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TUBED BEADS

Do you get lost in the bead aisle? Don't worry, I've been there too. So here's a little bit of everything that you need to know. This is the tubed bead section, which is mostly seed beads. There are so many colors and so many sizes, which Hobby Lobby carries four, I think. These will be your smallest. These are your 2 millimeter and then up a size is the 3 millimeter, which is a little bit bigger. And then these are the 4 millimeter, which is pretty commonly used. And then I didn't know they had these, but these are 6 millimeter seed beads. They're huge. For me, they're huge. I usually work with the two and three millimeter. And then here are your 2 millimeter Delica Beads. They're known for being squared off and uniform and I use them all the time like on my bracelets I've made here. And now for any metallic seed beads, do not buy them unless they say DuraCoat on them or else they will turn clear. It's a mouthful to look up, but on Etsy or Amazon which I had them on my Amazon storefront, it is my Miyuki DuraCoat Galvanized (gold/silver/etc) seed beads/delica beads. Also just because this is an expensive tiny tube does not mean it's good quality. These turn brown literally in two days. These are called bugle beads. I might be saying that wrong, but they're normally used for embroidery. And then "Tila Beads" You can make bracelets like these using these beads, which I've never tried them. And then they also have all sorts of little mixes in the bead section as well. I don't usually recommend big old kits like this because normally they chip off or they turn clear, especially the metallic ones. And a lot of their bead mixes, they'll have little clear beads, which if it's got a painted core like these beads, they will turn clear because the string will rub off against the color and rub off the paint. And any beads that look pastel like this, they will normally fade to white. Y'all let me know what I should educate y'all on next or at least try to.
