This guy built a button to erase Amazon's junk brands. What's going on? A developer got fed up with Amazon looking like a flea market and built a free extension called knockoff. Now, when you install it, it instantly dims or deletes all those gibberish brands from your search. You know, the W N Pet Home, the E H E Y, I don't even know what this is. There's a real one named pooh-runch by the way, and it even has a tangle that kills the sponsored ads. 11 million views overnight. This thing is blowing up. And here's why these junk knock off brands all look like that. The names are gigblish on purpose because to sell under Amazon's brand program, you need a registered trademark. Guess what the fastest way to get one approved is. Invent a word that is so meaningless that nothing else could ever conflict with it. So if you just come up with a bunch of random stuff, it just sales through while a normal word gets rejected. Gigblish is the entire cheat code here. But here's where the real harm is because half of these brands are disposable shells with no real company behind them. The charge the catchers fire or the battery that swells up or kids toy that skipped safety testing. When you go for a refund, the seller sometimes is already gone and they've just restarted under a brand new gigberish brand by morning.
