I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but sister, your $1.25 Dollar Tree receipt is about to look very different. Another shocking and unexpected price increase is hitting stores. Starting July 24th, you're about to get hit right where it hurts: the wallet. The current dollar sales are about to end July 23rd, and the second it does, these store-wide price increases will take effect. First up, in the one we've been dreading most, the HBC section. An aisle-wide sweep on health and beauty where everything that used to be a dollar twenty-five will now be a dollar fifty. I'm not sure what the thought process was here, but the hand sanitizer that's overfilling is increasing in price. If it's HBC, expect to pay another 25 cents. I've subtly alerted you in the past, but this is your official warning. If you have kids heading back to school or you're just a stationery lover yourself, this is the official call to action. You need to buy it now. Currently, school supplies are still a dollar twenty-five, but on July 24th, they will increase to a dollar fifty. Unfortunately, it's not just back-to-school items. Stationery, mailers, art supplies, tape, markers, pens, pencils, notebooks, and even the craft aisle are getting hit with the increase. They're increasing from $1.50 to $1.75. And we're not just talking hard covers. Even the coloring books are changing price tags. Another one that stings: picture frames. They're moving up to $1.50 as well. HBC really sunk out of my sales, but this one broke my heart. The cleaning aisle was just raised to $1.50 not that long ago, and now it's going up again to $1.75. That's the entire cleaning section. From cleaning solutions to brushes, scrubbers, mops, and other cleaning tools, another 25 cent increase store-wide. Even the dollar items included in the active sale July 24th all come to an end. Now, there are a couple of aisles that have me confused and I don't want to put a concrete answer on it. I've heard yes, they are increasing, and I've heard no, they are not. But either way, keep your eyes peeled because essentially, nothing is safe come July 24th. From what I understand, we are essentially getting a 25 cent increase store-wide on every single item. And the good news is, Dollar General is starting a rollback on over 5,000 items. Products that will reduce down to just a dollar. So while Dollar Tree prices are skyrocketing once again, don't forget they aren't the only store to exist that can help you be a bargain shopping buddy.
