I did not expect my sourdough scoring fail video to reach over two million viewers, but it has and a lot of you are asking for the results video, so here it is. If you're new here, I'm Romy and I am a busy Mum who helps other busy people fit slow cooking like sourdough into their busy lives. So this is the culprit of the broken blade here, and although it looks not too bad, it's actually really heavy and really dense, which is why the blade snapped. Here's a shot of the inside for reference. This is not what my loaves usually look like. I've been baking this fruit loaf recipe for a really and it's one of my absolute favorites. But lately, for some reason, they've been coming out like this and I need to play around with a few things to troubleshoot why. Just for context, this is one of my plain loaves from the exact same batch of dough, same batch of starter. It looks just beautiful. So I'll be trying out a few things to see what's going wrong here and I'll report back. But if anyone has any experience with this same thing happening, let me know in the comments.
