In the middle of the night a woman sneaks out to wash her hair. Halfway through the water suddenly cuts off. With no other option she heads back toward the dormitory to figure something out but the very next second the power goes out too. Qin Fei tries to feel her way through the darkness but her foot slips and she crashes hard to the ground. The loud noise happens to reach Xing Zhizhi as he is passing by. Not wanting him to see her in such a sorry state Qin Fei grabs a basin and holds it over her face. At first Xing Zhizhi looks around and doesn't notice anyone. But just as he turns to leave he catches a glimpse of Qin Fei huddled in the corner. He can tell how embarrassed she is and asks if she needs any help. Qin Fei flatly refuses and gets ready to leave. But the moment she steps out she spots someone walking in her direction. As a celebrity she can't afford to be seen like this so she quickly ducks back inside with her messy hair. Xing Zhizhi peeks over and instantly understands her predicament. He decides to lend her a hand. The two of them make their way up to the rooftop. Xing Zhizhi pulls out water he had stored away earlier and pours it into a watering can with a shower head. Just like that Qin Fei is finally able to wash her hair. The two of them chat back and forth and find themselves laughing and talking with ease. What Qin Fei doesn't know is that Xing Zhizhi has been secretly in love with her for years. After she finishes washing her hair Xing Zhizhi uses the last of his hot water to make a single bowl of instant noodles. As it happens Qin Fei is starving. Xing Zhizhi thoughtfully drapes his own jacket over her shoulders so she won't catch cold then hands her the only bowl of noodles. Watching Qin Fei devour it with such delight fills his heart with quiet happiness. After this night together the distance between them shrinks a little more. The next day the signal in the area is so poor that Qin Fei's calls with her manager keep cutting in and out. Her manager orders a signal booster and has it delivered, But on her way back from picking up the package Qin Fei gets lost. Just then a car spirals out of control and tumbles down the hillside right before her eyes. Qin Fei rushes over to check and finds an injured person trapped inside. Without a thought for her own safety she begins pulling them out. Meanwhile Xing Zhizhi grows worried when Qin Fei doesn't return. He jumps in a car and races out to find her. He spots the scene just in time but as he rushes toward her the car explodes. Xing Zhizhi screams Qin Fei's name over and over but gets no response. Just when he believes he has lost her forever Qin Fei walks out of the smoke completely unharmed. Xing Zhizhi sprints toward her and wraps her tightly in his arms. The sudden embrace catches Qin Fei off guard and her heart starts pounding. Then Xing Zhizhi launches into a frantic lecture scolding her for being so reckless. Qin Fei doesn't talk back. Instead she lowers her head with a look of pure hurt on her face. Xing Zhizhi realizes he came on too strong and quickly turns his attention to checking her injuries. When he sees the gash across her hand his heart aches. He cleans and bandages the wound with the gentlest care. This tender gesture stirs something new inside Qin Fei a feeling she has never had for him before.
