Everyone is talking about the Zendaya look from yesterday and I specifically want to talk about the makeup products used on her for this look by her insanely talented makeup artist Ernesto Casillas. Ernesto also does the makeup for JLo, Rosalia, Zara Larsson, many other celebrities. All of Zendaya's Odyssey looks, insane recent Zendaya Vogue shoots, etc. So this look is all Prada Beauty. Ernesto laid out the products used in an Instagram post and I also want to give you some cheaper alternatives to what was used in case you want to recreate it. I want to try and recreate it. I think Ernesto should do tutorials because so much of this is technique, but let's just get into it. So for the base, her moisturizer, which I think this look is very much about skin, this is the Prada Augmented Skin cream. It retails for $390. And a good cheaper alternative to this is the L'Oreal Revitalift moisturizer which is closer to $20 to $25. And so interestingly the key ingredient in both of these is called Proxylane and it's a patented ingredient by L'Oreal that like plumps and firms. So I believe L'Oreal like helps formulate Prada Beauty. I don't exactly know. Next is the Prada Augmented Skin Essence and this retails for $135. And a good dupe for this one at a lower price point, about $20, is the In the Know Tri-Acid Toner which is also built around lactic acid, salicylic acid, and gluconolactone which are the same ingredients as the Prada one. I've actually never heard of this brand or tried this product or the Prada for that matter. I would love to, Prada, if you're listening. We're still on the base, so next we have the Augmented Skin Eye Cream which retails for $335. And a good cheaper alternative is the Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream which retails for $12, yay. It's built on the same peptide duo that's used in the Prada one and they both also have caffeine to wake up your eyes. Next we have Prada Beauty's Moisturizing Care Lip Balm in the shade Universal. So this is just like a clear lip balm, sorry, Optimizing Care Lip Balm and it retails for $50. Lovely packaging though. This is literally a clear lip balm. There's another color layered on top, so we'll try and dupe that when we get there. Next we have Prada's Reveal Skin Optimizing Foundation which retails for $70 and he wrote that Zendaya wears the shade NW45. This is described as a long-lasting, buildable medium coverage foundation with a soft matte finish. Apparently a good alternative for this is the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 32 Hour Matte Cover Foundation which has a similar silicone base, so it gives you that blurred matte kind of look. But there is some sun protection built into the Prada one and not this L'Oreal one. Next we have the Prada Blurring and Micro-Correcting Concealer and Zendaya is wearing the shade LC3. This is obviously a blurring concealer, it retails for $48. Again, gorge packaging. And apparently a pretty good dupe is the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Full Wear Concealer which is about $13 and it has the same kind of silicone blurring base, but it doesn't have the same long-term skincare benefits that the Prada one claims to have. Blush, which is a big part of this look, and it seems to be a combination of two shades. So these are the Cream to Powder Color Blushes. I love the packaging. There's two shades used, so there's Cherry R68 and there's Cafe B32. It's described as a creamy balm with a velvety soft matte finish and can be applied to either the cheeks or the lips and it retails for $45. It is so hard to find shade dupes without like owning the products and being in a store, but I feel like a good alternative could be the Sephora Collection Blush Trio in the shade Heartbreaker. Next we have the shade 32 Cafe B32. A good alternative in terms of color might be the Sephora Collection Blush in the shade Toasted Raspberry which is $18, really, really pretty. Next we have the Prada Blushing Care Lip Balm in the shade Astral Pink, which looks blue, but it's one of the pH reactive shades and I think that it looks absolutely stunning on Zendaya. So interestingly, a good alternative, but this one is way glossier, is the ColourPop Transform Ditto pH Lip Balm which retails for $8. Apparently it uses the same Red 21 color-shifting dye as the Prada one, but again this one is like glossier. So I feel like you could like layer a powder situation maybe over it a bit for more of this look. But anyway, let me know if you like this video concept.
